i met graeme obree today

what a legend this guy is, he was signing his book at wheelbase in Staveley today, we were talking about his forthcoming attempt at the human powered land speed record, it looks like there may be a bbc documentry as he was saying that they want him to hold off from starting the build of the bike untill they get the film crew in place, he did'nt realy reveal any details other than the frame wont be carbon and that he will be laid face down and it will be fully enclosed in a carbon kevlar shell.
it felt like he would have talked to me all day, but there was a bit of a que developing behind me, so i thought i'd best let him get on with the job at hand.
any how, here's a photo.

He is, he gave a talk at our local cycling club very approachable and seems to be a people person.
Top respect to him.
