There's a patch of ice in Derby!

It's on the cycle path outside the new hospital, and this morning it introduced itself to my front wheel!
Consequently my left hand little finger is now broken in two places, and, right...and I'm booked to photograph the Kaiser Chiefs in a couple of days.

Sounds like a line from Albert & The Lion, to be performed by one man speaking it whilst another stands hidden behind doing the hand gestures for him. (For our older viewers, that one)

Plenty of ice this morning near Bicester, which made pushing up the hill nr Stratton Audley hard work as the back wheel span (spun?) with anything more than minimal effort, and it was hard to ride out of the edge up the camber in places.

Ice on the side roads this morning but main road was clear - our local cycle paths have corrugated slabs at junctions which collect water and for icy patches just as you hit the brakes - wonder what idiot thought that one up

Commuted from that there car factory on friday through sleet and hail , it was not a fun day to have forgot the winter jacket as it had been mild as the windproof kept me dry for a good 400 yards .......

At least you we're near the hospital when it happened and someone who knew what they we're looking for saw your X-rays.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
