After suffering numerous punctures, I bought some gatorskins. But i bought the 28s and my existing boardman has 23 s on them. I think they'll fit in the forks but am i as well off returning and getting 23s? The roads i cycle on are quite bumpy though
Will my existing tubes work in them or should i change the tubes?

28 is quite a jump in size - I couldn't say if they'd fit but you could always try 25s as a compromise instead.0

+1. Go for 25's.Winter: Moda Nocturne
Road: Cervelo R3
'Cross: Ridley X-Night
Commuter: Genesis Day One0 -
I use 28mm Gators on my Boardman Comp SC, no problem with clearance but it is a SS/Fixed with track dropouts so might be different to yours. The ride is much smoother and for winter use it makes sense. Only difference is I use a 25mm front as I find a 28mm makes the steering a bit dull.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

If they'll fit I'd stick with 28's over winter assuming you aren't running crud 2's as well (in which case they def won't fit). There's a chance you may need different tubes, depends what size your current ones are rated at. I recently stuck 28mm gp4seasons on one bike and they don't visually look much different to 25's on another.0

Hate to say but I've found this winter that Gators puncture resistances seems to be the same as any other tyre I've ever used.0
