Really pleased to let you all know that registration is now open on the Wiggle Jurassic Classic! Now I might be a bit biased here as this is my home patch, but I have to say that we have two spectacular rides. They start in Exmouth and then head east along the Jurassic Coast with some spectacular sea and coastal views.

This is a great chance to ride and raise funds for The Prostate Cancer Charity as well as enjoy the delights of Devon a little bit of Dorset and in fact even a tiny bit of Somerset, so three counties for the Epic riders who have 100 miles to tackle and about 2800m of up! For those riding the 100km route, you have about half of the hills and some nice gradients to help you up. Any questions just ask away! Oh yeap, the event village should be a lot of fun as well, I'll keep you posted with news here.

This is going to be one fantastic year for cycling :D !!

  • A bit of an update on the Wiggle Jurassic Classic:

The two rides are both what riding is all about with some seriously challenging riding, particularly on the Epic route! But as well as all of the cycling on offer, we are starting to sign up a pretty impressive bunch of musicians to welcome you all home, oh yeap, some of the food looks pretty tasty too!

100 mile profile........if you love hills, you'll love the morning ride along the Jurassic Coast!

  • Hi All,
Just to let you know that we have attached gpx and tpx files onto the website for both routes so that you can have a good look at things. Make sure (sit down first) that you have a look at the profile for the Epic (as previous post) and then follow it along the route, I’ve planned a lumpy morning, but you’ll get some flatter sections in the afternoon and on some stretches a well working group will fly!

I just want to say thanks to all of you that have either pm’d me or emailed with comments of support on this the first year of the Wiggle Jurassic Classic, it is really building into a great cycle event, so thanks for your help :D

Just a bit of an update on the event and as always I'm thinking of food & drink! The great news is that M&S are going to be supplying the sandwiches at our feed stations! Result! High5 have also come on board, so things are really building. Add to that some great live music from some very talented musicians at the finish and hopefully locally based Jurassic Folk will be entertaining us at some of the feed stations. This is building into a great day out in Devon!

Good feeling of Spring in the air today! :D
