coming from a dawes xc 1.6 im going to see a massive difference anyway. ta for all suggestions and help in advance.

Easy choice. Giant XTC by a long way. Others may have slightly better components but the XTC frame is the best aluminium hardtail frame I have ridden. Avalanche is one of the worst I have ridden & the G3 is just okTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Going to see if any of my local shops stock any of the following. live in south wales and there are a couple of good ones. rocky mountain cycles in llantrisant, ec cycles nelson, castle bikes caerphilly (where I had my bianchi road bike from) think I may end up just ordering via the web.0

ah spanner in my works just been to a shop and the trek 6300 seems to tick more boxes for £900? will have to skimp on shoes and pedals tho?0
