There i am in the shed this afternoon, stripping my old trek 5000 for a parts sale via ebay when 'pop'!

Not a good sound or feeling when it comes from your 8 month old acl reconsted leg.

Knee feels more unstable than before i had it done.

And i've got a new boney lump on inside of my tibia (top) that wasnt there earlier.

Pain and size of lump gets bigger when walking.

A trip to the nhs walk-in physio tomorrow morning me thinks.

Ho Hum!

But atleast i managed to dismantle the bike without wrecking anything.

How did you get on Cwm? Hopefully it won't be a total setback.

That was such a relief. Imagine if something bad had happened to it.

physio seems to think i've 'popped a plug',so its back to a floppy right leg :( and even with 1 day of limping i can feel the strain on my other leg which had a cartilage repair at same the time.
just glad i didnt throw my metal mickey straps away.
tbh,i am totally gutted, spent 20ish years wearing straps and not having the balls to get it done again, finally get it redone, may '11,and then this, totally peed off.
1 month wait to see consultant.
Already off work atm due to a fatality so heads a bit out of it anyway and this dont help.
Still be pedalling though, just got to be careful walking/twisting/standing or the usual :x

    enough moaning
    Bike parts cleaned.

You may be able to sell him some bike parts while he's there - save on p & p as well.

Now that's what I call a good coincedence.
  • Sorry to hear that. I'm 2 weeks on after a complete ACL & LCL reconstruction myself so know how much it sucks. Hope it's an easy fix for them.
