Goodridge Hoses

Hello again guys,
Got a n00b question, I just aquired some Shimano Saint stoppers complete with Goodridge braided hoses. However, I also found out due to the Nobel prize winning cable routing on my IH 6 Point, that the hose is too short, by a good 10cm. My question is if I can re use the Shimano connectors on a new hose?
Cheers fellas,
Aneesh

hi,
are these fittings using a seal or taper thread (npt or similar)
thread seals need a bit of sealant on them, but you can be lucky when you break the connection that when the are re-assembled they are pressure tight
same can be said for seals but they might just leak or not seal at all, most of these o ring sorts are meant to be swapped every time the fitting is assembled0 -
Superstarcomponents do braided hose and fitting kits alot cheaper than other brands.0

But why bother? More expensive and don't work any better.I don't do smileys.

You can reuse the goodridge fittings no problem, they don't use olives.0

Far heavier than plastic hoses too if that bothers you. I'd just get Shimano hose.0
