Having spent last winter building an uber-light Cannondale F-series 1x9 and then a single-speed On-One Inbred and then the summer putting together my dream-spec Turner Flux, I thought I should turn my attention to my road bike. I bought the Colnago Ramarro a few years back and have done very little with it. I flew it out to Switzerland late last year for a lap round Lake Geneva and that persuaded me that I really should use it more.

I only planned to change the stem and bars (from a 120mm stem to a 110mm and from 42cm bars to 44cm, but I got a little carried away)... photos below (I hope I have followed the forum rules for bike positioning... lol)

Excellent! Just needs black seat post, black cables, black stem, black tape, black wheels, black tyres and it'll be perfect

  • it had a black seatpost, black stem, black wheels and black tyres originally... i thought it looked boring... if you're going to do 'black', it has to be all black and stealthy.... just my opinion of course.. lol

I guessed - just a gentle wind up. For me it looks a bit too much like a late 1980s Escort XR3i - but as you say, "IMO"! My posh bike is white framed but everything else, bar the saddle, is black or alloy.

Black stealthy is going to go out of fashion in a big way in the not too distant - there's just too much of it about.

BTW - the tyres are probably a mistake though. They won't stay white for long. Even the white markings on my Schwalbe tyres irritate me due to the discolouring.

  • But how will you find it when it snows???
