Hi,
right theres been an annoying wobble/knocking feel and noise from the front end of my bike for a couple months now.
Ive changed the headset bearings and front wheel bearings.
Ive now concluded its the forks. Manitou black 100mm coil 2004 i believe.
they move smoothly but when i hold the front brake on and move the bike forward and backwards there is about 1-2mm movement overall around where the seals are.
the seals look tight.
My question is do you have any thoughts what it is? my guess is i need new wiper seals?
Thanks,
Noppy

Nope, the wiper seals may be damaged/old and need replacement, but the play comes from the fork bushings. They are worn and need replacing.A much loved, Giant Trance X3 20100

thanks for the info as well0 -
Can't help you much, I am from Macedonia By the way, CRC seem well stocked with Manitou stuff, http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Cate ... goryID=616 (bushings)
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Cate ... goryID=620 (seals)
But what model are they? Also, when you are already there, change internal o-rings and seals.A much loved, Giant Trance X3 20100 -
Thanks,
i emailed crc to check that the bushes were for blacks as well as R7 axel etc and they are so ive ordered them and seals aswell.
