Quick question

I'm in the midst of buying a boardman team fs frame 2010 (current bike is boardman team ht 2010) and plan to do a full component swap over when I hopefully get the frame in a couple of weeks. Got quotes to get the frame stripped and re-powder coated but my question is should I expect a really simple straight forward swap over or is there anything I need to consider? I'm thinking not as the bikes off the shelf appear to have identical parts?

Cheers in advance

Lee

This is my compromise to keep the mrs sweet as she really kicked off when I told her I was about to part with the best part of 2k on a canyon ;-)

You need to check the tech specs, but I imagine most is the same. Cable routing may be different.
  • I'm planning to do the same if I can get my hands on a large frame.

Note the forks on the HT are the same as the FS, but are set up to give an extra 20mm travel on the FS. You can change your reba forks to have 120mm of travel which would balance the bike better and you'd prbably need it as you'll be pushing the limits more with some bounce on the back end.

Also check the front derailleur is the same type (top pull).
