Is it acceptable for a bottom bracket on a giant defy to last less than 5 months.

My Tiagra Defy 2 lasted 2 years of all weather riding. On what to do next, Planet-X did have the Ultegra version for £20. Bought the Ice Toolz BB adapter fitted it in minutes.0

Thanks for the reply.
I had a shimano UN-52 from the GT mtb in stock and it fitted straight in.
The defy is a 116mm BB.
A free repair
