SIDI Sizing Help Please

So looking to get some new shoes and looking at either the new ergo 3 or the ergo 2 if I can get a good deal. There is no shops near to where I live that stock Sidi so will probably have to order off the interweb and then send back if not correct. Now I am normally a UK 10 in shoes trainers etc. In shimano cycling shoes I'm a 44, in a Bont cycling shoe I'm a 43.
I've had a look at the SIDI sizing chart http://www.sidicafe.co.uk/size-guide/ and to me it doesn't make sense.
In their bottom chart a 44 shimano is the same as a 44.5 SIDI which is a UK 9. However in the chart above it a UK 9 is 45 :S
Can anyone help please? Or know of any shops near Oxford that stock SIDI shoes?

I went in to a bike shop to try on a set of SIDI road shoes to match my MEGA MTB shoes (money went on something boring in the end though ) The guy said straight away that i will need a size or two up from what I usually wear.....
Not much help I know but.....
I wish there was someway of determining what counted as a "wide foot" as well! We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The ergo 3 are wider than the ergo 2. A 45 nike / specialized & shimano is the same as a 45 sidi.0

If it helps, I am a pretty consistent 9.5UK and a Sidi 44 is perfect albeit in a Mega width fitting.
I know you have sort of accounted for this but there really is no substitute for trying on in this case as your good deal may be less so when you have sent back 3-4 different shoes before stumbling on the right size.
One you find the right ones though, Sidi is really worth it, especially after you have got them wet or really sweaty under neoprene overshoes when they completely mould to your feetCoach H. (Dont ask me for training advice - 'It's not about the bike')0 -
I'm a UK 9 and wear a 44 Ergo 2 and Genius 5 Pro.0

I am size 10 and the 45 in Sidi is fine fitting. I wouldn't take too much notice of those charts quite honestly.0

I have been using specialised BG in a size 43.
I wanted some Sidi's and bought some from Royles, they advised me to go for a 43.5...good advice they are a great fit.
One thing though, after the support of the standard Specialised insoles, the Sidi insoles are like a flat piece of card!
I now use the Sidi's with the Specialised insoles for a great fit.0 -
I am a 45 shoe and wore a 45 Specialized s-works shoe, but needed a 46 in Sidi for my Ergo 2's. I think the general consensus is to go up on size for Sidi. You'll love the shoes though, lovely bit of kit.0

i'm a 9uk in trainers and shoes, for Shimano and sidi i take a 44 but a 43 in Northwave.0

Exactly the same as ajb72 - Spesh size 45 converts to 46 for Sidi genius 6.6 and ergo 2. And as stated above in the thread, SIdi insoles are pants - Spesh footbeds are miles better for me.
