BB comparability

I'm going to replace my BB on my Cube streamer with ultegra groupset and went to my lbs to buy a new one, guy in shop didn't have any road specific BB's but gave me one for a mtb and said it would suit also. It's a shimano sm-bb70. Can someone please confirm this would work before I start to take it all apart, thanks.

If it has the same dimensions as the old one. it will fit and work without any problems.
