i never knew inner tubes could be so expensive, until i stumbled across CRC.

I used those airwaves tubes before I converted to tubeless. I can recommend them very highly. They seemed much better than the spesh ones, or even the conti ones they replaced.

Looks like normal price for an inner tube really. "Normally" £5 is a laugh.

This is true, I don't recall them ever being £5 when I bought them, £2 maybe. I have a feeling we may be seeing halfords "sale" pricing there.

Nice one, I stuck 5 singles in my shopping cart yesterday then they got sold out before I could buy, those were a bargain at £14.98 TBH

I bought a load of those the other day, CRC usually have them at £20 for ten (bought them before, and they're pretty decent), so £18 is even better! I've never seen tubes that cheap anywhere else before though. Maybe £3 each is a standard price? £1.80 each is pretty good IMO.

Patches as well. Old fashioned gluey ones. Around £1 for 10.

I ride 5 days a week and I dont think I have had 20 punctures in the last 10 years.

I could even count mine in the last 4 years = number of patches on my 4 tubes.

I can never get the patches to work properly for some reason, I'm useless with them :?
Also pretty heavy handed with the bike... Maybe could do with some new tyres though...

i had 4 over a 90 minute period not so long ago, the cure for this was a new rear tyre

I used to get lots of punctures - never used to check the inside of the tyre for the thorn or flint. Now I check where the hole is on the tyre and probably 30 to 40% of the time there is a bit of whatever made the hole ready to make a new hole in the new tube.

on the Maxxiss free ride tubes at the moment, i have to go some to puncture those bad boys even at low pressure. If your puncturing that much you need to try a different brand mate

Never had a puncture through my Maxxis stuff that I've used for 3 years

Had one pinch flat tube puncture in that time and that was first run out on a new bike at the time 3 years ago. Dodgy tube or badly fitted by the shop probably. Only other times my spare tubes have come in use is in fixing other people's flats. Just don't seem to get them myself. Run at 30psi aprox.
