Looking at getting a Mont Blanc Scott roof carrier for my MTB but concerned about how to get the bike up there. Car is a Skoda Octavia estate with the rails and bars.

Or have a small folding ladder in the boot."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Obviously, it's going to be a lot easier than I imagine. I like the sensible idea of a small folding ladder.0 -

I use one of these - a Scenic is a bit tall for comfort otherwise, especially if you are loading 4 bikes on the roof.

I'm only about 5'7" and I don't have any issues lifting my bikes onto the roof of my car, If I was any shorter I think I might try the stool/steps/standing on the door sill but for now the floor is good enough 8)
Once you've done it a few times you'll soon find the easiest way to load/unload your bike.0
