Hey guys,
First time on this forum so hi all. Quick question really, im splashing out on a MTB and i love the look of the Rockhopper Expert 2012 8)
http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/bc/SBCProduct.jsp?spid=61514&scid=1100&scname=Mountain
However im new to MTB (thank you to cycle-to-work scheme) and would not know the in&outs yet so could people give me their opinions on the specs. I plan on using it for off-road trails. My LBS only does Trek and Specialised so want to stay with them.
Thanks in advance and any comment (good or bad) will be listened.

Is a competant enough bikes for cross country and general trails, but not the best value with a medicore fork. If you can stretch to the Trek 6500:

you'd have a much better machine. The fork is worth £300 on its own, and is far better than the one on the rockhopper. Add to that the 30 speed drivetrain and quality finishing kit and you have much more bike for the extra £200.0
