Looking at Purchasing some new wider and lighter bars for my bike which i can take with me when i upgrade the frame. Also is it worth keeping the stem at 100mm or shortening it? Riding posistion feels a bit stretched to the bars as if im riding a ducati sports bike. Also would a Mavic xm317 on slx hub be better than my current shimano m505. jobby. Bike is Carrera Vulcan so its. Black with white Rs Toras up front. And light blue decals. Should i keep things black? Thinking of changing the pedals as there shot at.

The wheel would be slightly better.
Wider bars can benefit from shorter stems. Try Exotic cycles.
Try Wellgo MG1 pedals.0 -
I'd say definately shorten the stem. Wider bars will make you feel more stretched over the bike so if you're already stretched thay will make it feel worse. I'd suggest something around 60-70mm.
As for the bars, CRC have a great offer on Sunline V1's at the moment, I run these bars and really like them:

A bit of colour can look good as long as it's not OTT. I'd be tempted with the blue bars and some blue superstar pedals 8)0 -
Keep it black. Clown's bikes have different colours.0

Like the look of them Sunline bars. Any ideas for a stem to compliment them? Need some new grips also so will get some superstar ones0

I'd buy a secondhand stem or cheap one from exotic until you find the size that is right for you. That way it won't cost too much to experiment with sizes. Once you've found a comfortable size then buy a bling one if you feel the need.
