    It's usually me asking about someone's frame, but only if I don't recognise it or the combination of the frame/groupset. I'll ask if it's a custom build etc, but that's because I'm a Bike Geek.

    Me and a pal ended up riding with this fella on an evening 30 last summer. I was on my 'best' bike and my mate on his 'best' bike... this guy was on an old black n gold Raleigh. "So what?" I hear you ask. And I agree; so what? It doesn't matter - to anyone but you - what you ride. Apparently not! When he left us to head home, we were in stitches at his continual reassurance (for our benefit?) that this was "my 2nd bike, it looked like rain so I left the carbon fibre in the house ... I just train on this ... the gear ratios leave a lot to be desired etc"

    A genuine unintentionally funny cyclist. Hey man, what does this do?
