So it seems my options are:
Rotor (Black & Red)
Token (Black, Blue, Gold, Red & Silver)
KCNC (as above plus Green)
K-Edge (Gunmetal, Red, Blue, Black and Gold)

My new Giant has Orange anodized kit, EVERYWHERE!
So, I'm sure you can guess what colour Chain Catcher that I'd like...

Cookie for the correct answer and a link to the item!!?

Buy a can of spray paint if you don't like the colour..

I have a Token, it was a tenner ands works fine - anyone that pays 2.5x as much for a K-Edge which is virtually identical has more money than sense!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Got a K-Edge for my best bike. It's expensive bling but if it stops the chain from ripping up the lovely big fat BB on my Cento Uno then it's money well spent.

I've had a Rotor and a couple of Tokens and one of the Tokens cracked after a while. The Rotor is more £ but better made.

Black catcher but an orange/gold bolt?

Yours is the Rabobank Giant I take it? Get a blue catcher.

Has anybody come up with a chain catcher for bianchi infinito etc yet. The frame has a clamp on front mech so you cant use the normal type and the cheaper plastic clamp on type won't fit due to the of the bottom of the frame.

...if you mean its a Clamp not a Braze on, then if you changed mech to a braze on but used an adapter clamp thingy then surely that would work???

Plus one. It's just a metal casting. £25-£30 for one of these is madness.

My Look has a band on mech and lugs so I had to modify a Deda Dog Fang. You can get away with quite a lot of tweaking to those but I suspect a blobby monocoque Infinito type might defeat even that approach.

The obvious correct answer to this question is - black. You are on the road buying forum so we assume you are not talking about a mountain bike. Therefore, get the hideous orange anodised abominations off the bike and put something more tasteful on to match the black chain catcher

as mfin says, just run a braze-on mech bolted onto a clamp-on bracket. Catcher uses the braze-on bolt.

Is there an alternative make/model to the very pricey k-edge http://www.wiggle.co.uk/k-edge-road-cla ... n-catcher/ for those with a clamp on mech that don't want to buy a new braze on mech/adaptor combination?

I have tried a deda dog fang but even after adapting (ruining) it I couldnt get it to sit at the correct height because of my flared bottom bracket.

You need to write to Token and convince them to do one for £15!

Further to my last post, I have just found this on ebay which seems to be a cheaper version of the banded K Edge:
