QR Skewers

Im after a set of blue anodised QR skewers for my Cube LTD team,
Also a decent seat clamp in a matching blue anodised would be good.
Preffere to buy both Skewers and seat post clamp from the same makers so the match
Can anyone recommend a decent set that will last?
I notice there are quite alot of 'cheap' skewers on the market that look like they would fail anytime after fitting.
I just dont want to buy cheap when its something as important as keeping the wheels on.
Many thanks

I'd have to say forget the coloured stuff and go for Shimano, is the best there is.0 -
Ok, so Shimano dont do coloured stuff then?0

Mainly black and grey. But the system they use with the enclosed cam is much better than the alternatives we see.0

Brilliant, I have just searched them and they look quite nice in the grey/siler anyway.
Thanks.0 -

^^This
I tried some fancy ones last year and they were all crap, I actually sent the crank brothers ones back to CRC stating they were not fit for purpose.
Just use shimano, hope seat clamps are good too, but expensive, SS, crank brothers were all crap and bent / broke so you could bling seat post clamp with a hope IMO0 -
Cheers, Ill listen to the experience of both of you.
Dont want my wheel falling off.
Shimano it is then. Thanks
Think Ill just get a silver seat post clamp aswell0 -
In my experience they all do the job and have had cheap and expensive, none have broken. Ride the bike beyond its abilities or fail to do them up properly! and that's another matter.
I'm on bling at the moment, just because . Maxle though on the big bike forks, as that's what it comes with.0 -
Another vote for Shimano skewers
I original put Hope ones on my Orange but found that they were tightening up so much on a ride that I couldn't undo them at the end (I need to take the front wheel off to fit the bike in my car). Someone commented that if they could tighten up themselves, maybe they could also loosen themselves, which decided me! It also cured one of the many strange creaking noises from my bike when I switched to Shimano!Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....

Go ghetto......
Shimano Skewers and a can of Tamiya TS19 or TS50 spray paint and you will have a lovely metallic or mica blue which is hard wearing and can be touched up easily.
I know spraying parts is all a bit 90's but sometimes its the only way.My Mint As New Marin Rocky Ridge for sale @ £400

Anyone know where you can buy a rear shimano qr on its own. Got maxle on the front so don't need a set. For a new build. Or is it a case of hanging around eBay?0

Don't bother with the 'better' Shimano's, I can't tell any difference in use between the XT and Deore I have, they even weigh the same.
