Whats needed to convert to 1 x 10

Been toying with the idea of going from 2 x 10 to 1 x 10 on my spesh enduro expert 2011 for a little while now and seeing as the roller is buggered, contemplating going for the change now I need to spend some pennies anyway.
Front rings are 24 / 36 and if i'm honest, I don't often use the 36 ring. So, for now i'd just bin the 36 and if i'm missing any gears, just upsize the front slightly to say 28. Currently, reckon i'll only lose the top 2 - 3 gears (after checking sheldons) so not too fussed on this side.
So, looking at superstars offerings, can't seem to find exactly what I need. Take it I need a top and bottom guide but the laser wont suit the smaller ring http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=263 , nor will the plasma http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=363
Even these http://www.evanscycles.com/products/truvativ/team-boxguide-chain-device-ec007796 all seem to be for the bigger rings.
Or am i going just going to have to swap the ring for a 32 so that I can go for one of the above. The sheldon figures dont look too bad, although it'll mean i lose my 2 bottom gears and 1 top. I'd have to start working on the legs..
Any suggestions, other kits which I could run say a 28 with? This would be ideal I think for me.
30 could be good too, only losing 1 at each end.

I'm running a superstar XCR chain device with a 34 tooth front ring but still running my XTR 11-32 9 speed cassette. Works out at 38.25 if I were to be using a 11-36 10 speed cassette. Don't find it much of a problem except on slippy steep climbs but I've been pretty lazy recently and not been riding much so I put that down to lack of fitness. You should be fine with a 32t ring anway. Personally I'd get the plasma (in hindsight I wish I'd paid the extra for chain retention) and run it without a bash. The only other thing you'll need are some narrow/singlespeed chainring boltsI had to beat them to death with their own shoes...
