Specialized P2 overendz better than P1?

Hi folks.
I am looking to buy bar ends for my hybrid, and I quite fancy these.
The only reviews I can find are for the P1, and it seems that they commonly snap. Other than this, they have glowing praise!
I was wondering if the P2 is an improved model, and whether this issue has been resolved?
Has anyone used them, heard anything about the P2?
