I wear black socks and white socks at the same time. For nine months of the year you can't see them anyway.

so i'm assuming this is a joke, in which case you have a strange sense of humour, what if the OP were to wear this, he would get mocked everywhere he went

Forgive him, OP thinks this a triathlon forum and any sense of style can be dispensed with in under the premise of pseudo-science or a marketing campaign. I mean if someone is paid to endorse the product, they must be good, right?
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Can you even see what socks people are wearing from your high horse? Here's a tip for you, stop being a grumpy old sod & try and enjoy life a bit.

Who are you? John Galliano? Do you wear your bib shorts because they are a practical solution or because they are the height of style?

The thread is about choice of sock colour and you still manage to get petty.

I'm starting to think that this:

it is indeed about sock colour - not about length. Anyway, wear what you want - just as long as you know that everyone is laughing at you behind your back...
  • Black sock on drive side and white sock on non-drive side... not only does it look awesome, it stops me getting oil on my lovely white Assos socks.

*cos my friends uncle is a professional and he says that Assos are faster.

Telling everybody on the start line that you've never raced before.

    or

Telling everybody on the start line that you've never raced before and you've forgotten your contact lenses and glasses.

    or

Telling everybody on the start line that you've never raced before and you've forgotten your contact lenses and glasses, but you have seen a BMX race on the TV.

Maybe black is better than white?

Last ride, I wore my grey Pearl Izumi merino socks (long), and they felt great.

I wear Black Shorts, Black Jersey, Black shoes - So for me the white would look stupid...

    Nobody is making this easy....
a month or 2 before 1st race, assuming weather clement enough to show socks.
'tis true I did shed a contact lens within metres of the starting line but kept stumm..
The suggestion of my preference Assos Mille , 1 black/white and other white/black seems almost sensible.
Grey, however covers the base on a wash cycle disaster.
My lucky sock of 2011 on reflection not so lucky as no race win..

Black or grey (defeet woolie boolie) for cross or MTB. On the road it's white all the time.

leicester lad has stumbled across a good point. it's not the sock colour thats important but the shoes.

black shoes when wearing shorts is a certain no no. white, silver, yellow and anything else thats not black is acceptable
