Brecon Wheelers is the most obvious choice - but also Merthyr CC, Abergavenny RC, CC Abergavenny or Hereford Wheelers, depending on exactly where you are...0

not sure about brecon because there is nothing out there about them (website, facebook ect) and never seen them riding in the area
heard of all the rest but they are a fair distance away0 -
I don't live in the area, but I've seen fellas in races wearing the kit, and they organised the Welsh CX champs at Penlan, so they definitely exist..0

I'd recommend Abergavenny RC myself
The Hereford clubs are pretty active (Hereford Wheelers, Gannet or Climb on Bikes). I don't see many Brecon riders out but they do exist and run midweek club time trials through the season. This used to be on the A470 starting out at Libanus and coming back towards Brecon, turn at one of the roundabouts and back. CC Abergavenny don't seem to have that many riders active these days, probably only 3 or 4 racing regularly and I'm not sure if they do much in the way of club runs. M&D Cycles also run a club based in Abergavenny although I think a lot of their rides start in Usk. I think there is also a club in Merthyr.
With Abergavenny RC they have a Sunday clubrun starting at 9.00am in the Fairfield car park, they are a pretty friendly bunch but the club run can be a bit quick if you are a relative newcomer (I have started riding on my own as I was struggling to keep up with them). There is also a much more leisurely group that go out at 9.30am from the Hardwick Roundabout but their ride could be a bit too much the other way, very steady with a cafe stop or two. The women's team have also been going out seperately at 10.00am.0 -
