Upgrade rear shock or not?

Hi, I have a Giant Reign which is running a Fox dhx 4.0 air rear shock, it seems to lose pressure over the space of a week, more so from the boost part of the shock. I think this would be solved of I got the shock serviced, however service charges seem quite expensive considering I can get a Fox rp23 for £250. Now is it worth paying the £100 or so to get the shock serviced, or of I did upgrade the shock would it be a marked improvement to justify the extra cost?

Yes, I am aware that they are designed for different things, but the DHX seems a bit of an overkill for me. Anyways just had another look on CRC and it's no longer available for £249, so I think I'll stick with what I've got.
