Morning all,
Woke up to a nice email received yesterday evening asking me to fill out a 10 question form so they can get to know me a bit better, and if they like my style I am in the top 10 for the job! Would be for Junior Market Analyst at a venture capitalist/business angel firm in Vienna! Super stoked, especially when I looked back at the job description and saw the pay! 3x what I earn now, and much more of a career path than where I am now.
Super stoked, so it is off to write a bunch of stuff, but luckily, they asked if I do extreme sports, so if they hiring director is a biker as well, i'm in!
Enjoy your morning all0 -
Hi Everybody!
Not sure this counts as an Early-Morning thread. You posted it at 10pm, but it was 3am here.... it's far too early on a Friday for me to actually care
I'm hoping work passes by quickly and without drama. I'm off out with some people from work afterwards, so I plan on getting quite drunk. Hot Librarian will be there, and we spent most last night talking about me giving her a massage, and her offering me repayment  Could be interesting!
Anywho's, laters! It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Morning wasters,
last night i spent a couple of hours making my Carbon chain device, still no sign of frame  at this rate i'll be going slightly mad and saying Wibble a lot.
got naff all on for today, so much time wasting is planned.
wibble
In the bunker this morning, i can either have heat or coffee, but not at the same time as the fuse board keeps switching off wibble.
I think i will switch my work phone off this weekend as i never seem to get a full nights sleep wibble at the weekend due to numptys.
Anywhoo got porridge to eat wibble,

Just found a bank card in the name of "A Coulson". Off to go buy some hookers and blow, and a kit-kat chunky.

Good luck with the job. Be careful with the answer to Extreme Sports - it could be an exclusion factor - suggest you say ' no - only mountain biking'
If you were a shark wrestler then I'd not recruit you...waste of time really.
Anyway all the best!
NB A Chinese fisherman fell off a boat and a shark started to eat him. The shark's friend said - I wouldn't do that if I were you. Why not said shark 1.
You always feel hungry again after you've had a Chinese.

Morning member manipulators!
Yes TFIF. Today I will mostly be going back through all the finance filing I did yesterday morning before a fellow Ops Manager decided to put everything in one huge pile so that he could have somewhere to eat his lunch before promtly knocking the whole lot on the floor. I'm sure they put something in the water in that part of Suffolk.
Anyway the bike is yet again in the car because I need a major de-stress before the weekend otherwise I'd just be a grumpy fecker and annoy the wife and kids. Oh and if people though Tunstall was bad in the MSG series, you have no idea how much mud there is now.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Thank fark it's friday! It is also pay day, so today is BUY ALL THE THINGS! However it's boring stuff like diesel, and food, and other such things I appear to have run out of.
Today is work, then off up to YO to see MrF. However I've just had a text saying he's puking (again) it would appear he's got some kind of sicky virus. Do not want.
For the first time this week I feel like a normal human bean, not tired or owt so very ready for the weekend. Hope the sicky bug passes as there's a plan to head to Dalby again on Sunday. (after I've hacked a repair to the small split in my front tyre. Ducktapetastic.)bicyclepirate wrote:Foxc followed me to the gym again last night, I think she's stalking me
Right, onward! work and porridge...

Morning PCDs...
Interesting call last night from a mate of mine in the surf industry, seems he is hooking up with a bike importer to launch a new company bringing italian kitesurfing gear into the UK, they want me to do some branding for them...
Makes a change from high street fashion and toilet manufacturers I guess, may even get some bike freebee stuff - nice!
No bacons today, the mrs insisted I do my bit for cholesterol lowering = porridge with raspberries in it...0 -

Thanks for the wishes. I've written that I do "semi-extreme" mountain biking, but have left out the facts of jumps or anything airbourne, and made no mention of seeking adrenaline rush or taking risks. Most of the questions are worded in a way that if I answer the wrong way that i'd be declined, been a very hard task keeping the same theme going through everything.0 -

Fools!
Just had a call from my mate, tomorrow's bringewood charity uplift is on like donkey kong! This afternoon I shall be building up the specialized and getting stuff sorted.
Well excited!

Morning scuttlers
Today is win as I started work at 9 and am now home for the day readying myself for the pub later, nice end to the week (essentially in skiving but gaffer said, don't get doing too much so we farked off)
Going to use the time wisely for a while and put some doors on the bike shed, buy a ground anchor and generally just sit round the house in my pants.
Stumbled accross this place last night whilst the striped crusader was being motted, sounds like a crudcatcher challenge in the making

Freaky Friday Maggots :¬)
Well, today is a day of importance
Have an interview at 11h30 with my former employer where I worked for 10 years, left them in late 2010
Seems as if things went off the rails a little after I left and I am reliably informed that they are keen to get me back into the company.
The 'only' reason I left was due to voluntary redundancy being offered, I was never unhappy there, it was just a great opportunity to top the savings account up..
I am currently employed but not overly happy where I am, sure I work from home, get a decent package and car, but it's not ideal
Other than this, not much else on the cards today, so I'll catch up later when I am back at home0 -

Or packing him off to bed while I get a curry and watch ALL THE FILMS on his HD0 -
Finally some win going into the weekend, and for the first time in about 3 months I feel good.
Riduculously wet and muddy ride round the forest, 7 responses including 2 interviews from job applications sent in this morning, (all for more money, one at a landmark building that would effectively put me in line for a directors post), kids are off to the inlaws for the night, huge sirloin from the best butchers in East Anglia is in the fridge and beer is going to be consumed in vast quantities at a winter beer festival tonight.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

Evening Toe Rags,
Just recovering after my first Cwmcarn uplift day, was just getting the hang of when I stacked it and broke the rear mech off - did the second half of the day with no gears, but not as bad as I thought it'd be. Luckily it looks like it was just a bolt that was sheared off so should not cost megabucks to fix. Pressure suit was worth its weight in gold - I'd be missing an elbow and bits of forearm without it. Think I need to go back there again and do it properly :-)"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
