Are there two sorts?

Been buying the Grey groupset (Triple) to fit to my bike in the cleaner months and on the lookout for some. I thought they only came in one colour until i looked at shimano tech docs and found both a 6603 and a 6603G. I've not seen any "Grey" ones for sale and only found the std one's online until now

The std one is here

vs the unusual one is here. (Or is it just the wrong picture?)

Any ideas? Anyone know where you can get "Grey" one in 6603?

Grey 6603's are from their "Ice Grey" groupset which may be slightly lighter but are functionally identical and interchangeable with the standard 6603. It was Shimano's odd attempt at making an upscale, lighter and slightly more expensive Ultegra that was between the standard Ultegra and Dura-Ace groupsets. Your top link is for the 6700 Ultegra Brifters, the bottom for the 6603G.

To the OP, you may have already bought one, but Merlin were doing the Ultegra SL (Ice Grey) triple chainset at about £65 with bottom bracket - silly money for that component (although not sure that the have any left now).

    Knew I'd missed somthing simple.

So rechecked the Shimano tech docs for 6703 levers and they only do the one. So guess that makes it nice and simple with which one to buy....

    Thanks.

I have some new ones still packed up if you're interested? Bought for a project that never happened and still in their bags. PM me if you're interested...
