Dx have this excellent deal, though £40 or so is quite steep. But it does feature 5 Leds and 2 lasers. The future has arrived

RSP Astrum for £11, job done. Save the pennies for some bling .0 -
Moon rear light if you use dark country lanes (like I do)....awesome capability and includes a battery, just attach to USB port via supplied cable!

What a dangerous idea! If somebody fitted it wrong and had the lasers pointing out where a road user could get it in the face they could be blinded. 35mw in a collimated laser is pretty powerful and enough to burn your retinas.
I use 99p cheapo rear lights, never had a problem with them.0 -
iv recently bought these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330665317468? ... 1497.l2649
and the rear light seems to b an unbranded smart light ,,its mega bright and for the money (front as well which is a lot brighter than i thought )its superb
the lasers on that other one look cool though ,,but personallt
y for me i wouldnt spend that on a rear light ,,a couple of the ones iv got and a magicshine or something up front would b enough for most0 -

This looks like a gimmick, I have to admit. However the lasers are downward pointing and designed to project a pattern onto the road surface.
personally, I use this one:

and angle it down by 10 degrees or so. an intensly red pool of light follows me everywhere . excellent for sideways visibility and cars seeing you round corners before they can see your bike. pretty blinding if not angled down. get fog lights flashed at me as they pass.15 miles each way commuter (soon to be 20)

One of the brightest i have seen is the Magicshine light £43.99 with a battery that will last 5hrs on full power, rated at 85lumens, so like a car fog light. Seen my mates one working and it is cool and very very bright, so well worth. I run 2 magic shine front lights and can't fault the workmanship of their lights.

I've one of these http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire- ... 123a-20333 fitted to a childseat armrest with the simplest torch bracket DX/Manafont sell costing about one dollar. Not exactly dear and results in massive reduction in tailgating and close overtaking. Just don't point it to motorists' eye level as they would be dangerously dazzled.0

Can the answer to 'do i need one with lasers?' ever be anything but 'oh god yes'?0

Rideslikeagirl is right, of course you need lasers, and preferably tacks, oil slicks and anti vehicle mines. How else do you expect to survive in the chaos?0

My Magicsine rear had to be replaced due to inner led failing, my front failed due to two failed LEDs (probably damaged connection).0 -
I'd probably crash the bike due to me constantly looking behind to admire my laser display.
I sooo want one.0 -
hey guys. this is great.......what the lasers do is project a mobile bike lane 2 meters wide on the road!
look at this youtube link:

if they are genuine lazers then be banned for sure, Police would do their fruit ! Having said that, this may be the way forward for rear lights to have a function that lights up the road behind you as you ride.Team4Luke supports Cardiac Risk in the Young0
