Bike light batteries

A short circuit has destroyed the battery pack for my Light. It is a Nightpro extreme HID light with a Welch Alleyn 12.8 to 13.4 volt 10 watt HID bulb. I cant find a spare battery for this light.

What options do i have for replacing the battery. I was thinking of getting 4 3.7 volt 18650 cells and wiring them up in series to make a 14.8 v battery. But i am not sure how i would charge this exept by charging each cell individually. I am handy with a soldering iron and i am happy to make battery holders and connect the cables up.

I know i can get a £40 LED light from deal extreme, but the light from my HID light is much better and i want to keep it.

All advice gratefully accepted.

A 10 watt XML LED will blow away the HID in sheer output - about 900 lumens vs 500. Even in medium mode they output 500 lumens with nearly 5 hours burn time.

What voltage output was the battery you had? A bit of googling reveals 11.1v?

The youngster's light died last week, bought one of theses XML jobbies for £21 from a UK seller with a battery and charger. Replaced a chunky double halogen thing with massive battery etc.
He uses some very narrow, dark country lanes and told me cars were already dipping their lights before they came round bends, and were pulling off in passing spots to let him past. On half power.
I've ordered one for myself from China for £15, no idea why as I don't ride in the dark, but I want one anyway.
Awesome dinky little thing. Can't see why anyone would need anything else, except maybe two.
    I don't do smileys.
