Forum abuse for a TV question... after all is the Cake Stop section...

We got dish installed for watching European TV channels from the Hotbird satellites. With decoder box.
Found out our previous recorder will not work.

What recorder can I use with for channels through the Hotbird satellite?
Cheers

All i can think of is to buy a DVD recorder that will allow you to simply set a time to record satellite.

Are you watching 19.2e (German Eurosport etc) or have a motorised system?

I don't watch Eurosport, I imagine that requires a subscription and I haven't got any. I watch Eurosport: subscription-free channels from Europe mainly.
Dunno if the system we have is motorized, I guess no.

There's only one sort of non-subscription channel I can think of that makes it worth the bother of getting a European sattlelite system
