Replacement wheel bearings

I have a set of bontrage rhythm pro wheels on my remedy. I realise they are not the greatest but unfortunately I cant afford to replace them any time soon. In the summer I had my LBS replace the bearings in both the front and rear hubs, After just a few weeks the rear hub had a gritty feel to it when spinning it up in your hands (the bike had only been ridden in the dry during this time). It left me feeling somewhat peeved about the situation and feeling that they had probably put piss poor bearings in on the cheap.
I am 99% sure the bearing sizes are
6805RU x2
61802 x2
6902RS x2
I have had a little look on the web for some and the choice is baffling. Could anyone tell me what to look for?? with regards bearing quality, seals, brands, pricing and generally anything else that would be worth knowing before I purchase some.

you just need to know which size. if bonty website does not tell you then go off the bearing you got in the hub.www.bearbackbiking.com

You can get cheaper bearings but I wouldn't bother and as you've experienced the cheap ones don't last.0 -
are these ceramic? is it worth putting ceramic bearings in hubs?Yeti SB66c 20130

They're not ceramic, they're "Chrome Steel" as per the description on the website. I would say ceramic bearings are not worth the expense on a bike as they don't operate under high load or speed.0

Dont suppose you can offer any advice on how to remove and replace bearing on front hub can you ?Nels

Knock them out and press them in."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Using the old bearing to press the new ones in can make life easier.0

6805 sound like the front wheel - is it a 20mm axle?
6802 (or 61802) & 6902 are pretty standard rear wheel bearings, IIRC.0 -
Trek have advised 'The hub requires a 6903 30x17x7mm bearing'
I have an exploded diagram if anyone wants it... rear hub too.
thanks all
