First Ride On The New Steed

Picked my new bike up on Monday night and had my first ride on it today a steady 12 miles to remind me how long its been since I've rode a mountain bike didn't help that the back brake was binding a bit but got home and sorted it.

The bike rides very well to say its not exactly a focussed XC bike the forks are plush and nice to ride my only gripe with it is tyres the Maxis minions are very good but there a big old tyre to push round on a mostly tarmac and up hill ride but on the off road sections they were perfect.

minions are a good tyre but they do drag. just think though how fit you will get with that bit of resistance.

thats the idea get fit first then concentrate on going fast

time in the saddle.. thats what you need, just conentrate on getting out as much as you can for as long as you can, the fitness will soon come then will the speed.

aye thats the plan im going out again this afternoon if the saddle sore eases of a bit its been to long since ive been on the old iron horse

ohhhhhhhhhh the good old saddle.. thats something else that takes time to gt used to..

maybe padded short liner would help.. or even better change the saddle for something that suite you. saddles are a personal choice
