Has anyone had any experience with Tesco flatties?

They look like your bog standard Wellgos, but only cost eight quid. Wondered what grip is like.

Cheers,

depends if they have metal or plastic pins.

they will weight more, and the bearings/bushings may not last aslong as others.

try some if you need a new set. then report back with your findings?

    These? http://direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=212-0267

Looks like the 'pins' are moulded metal as part of the pedal.

They'll last as long as you expect for £8 I expect, and I'd have no confidence they have any grip at all. Good for a BSO... which is what Tesco sell anyway ;)

Still for £8 can replace them a few times before you've spent as much on one Wellgo / Superstar or similar. The latter will last years though.

If the ones they have in store are anything to go by (same ones), they seem to use sand as the lube in the bearings......gggrrrraaaatttttteeeeeee........

I have some old fashioned steel caged resin spider pedals off a Merida for sale, brand new and I'll do them for the same price, but they spin sweetly!
