Which tapered headset for ~ £50-£70

Looking for a 1.25 - 1.5" tapered headset to fit a tapered steerer fork for a new build, what's a good choice taking into account value for money and performance, can't really justify a Chris King £160 headset...

had a hope one on the pace..

or nukeproof.. never used these.

I don't know if it matters or not but it would be a carbon headtube as well...

I don't have the frame yet but it's for a Pivot Mach 5.7 carbon build, I'm just trying to sort out all the parts for it.

Just to check, you say 1.25 - 1.5", do you really mean 1.25 ?

1.25 = 1 1/4"
1.125 = 1 1/8" (more common)

If 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" (1.125 to 1.5), I'd add On-One Smoothie Mixer as an option (you'll need to get a 1.5" crown race also). £25 at the moment. Nice and smooth on my C456.

Hope - made of Swiss cheese :P. Or so people say. That said, my Nomad has one . Seems okay.

Uh yeah I actually mean 1.125 - 1.5" woops, it'll be a 2012 tapered Rockshox Revelation RCT3 going into it.

the canecreek one i got with my chromag frame came with both crownraces (a reducer one and a 1.5 one)
