right ok im probably going to get ripped to shreds for this but...

Does a Northerly wind mean its coming from the north or does it mean its going towards the north?

likewise if its a north west wind, does that mean its blowing towards the Northwest or coming from the Northwest?

I'm having a senior moment

I used to work with a girl who honestly thought that north was whatever way you were facing.
Nothing to do with the wind, but still funny.

    Love it!

I used to date a girl with the weirdest brain - once she was in stitches over a sign that said "this portacabin is alarmed".

    A friend saw this sign:
slow-children.jpg and thought it meant that we were near a school for 'educationally challenged' kids.

I saw a notince by Bushy Park that said "found dog remote control". I liked the image of either someone having a hand unit to direct their dog or a TV remote with large buttons that paws could operate.
Apparently it's a torture device for canines, nowhere near as much fun.

Depends on how much you dislike dogs.

I don't blame dogs for being unpredictable. I'd like to fit an electric collar to many of their owners though.
This morning3 dogs drinking out of a stream as I approach. I'm well aware of them, slow a little just in case. As I'm getting really close one of the idiots, I mean owners, on the other side of the path calls their dog so it doesn't get run over. Naturally the dog then goes to it's idiot, right across my path, causing me to brake sharply and mutter something at the idiot.

Oo, almost forgot. Seeing a lorry branded Renta-Crates and howling with laughter imagining it being driven by an ancient Greek guy in a toga.

The toilets at work have a sign 'wash your hands at all times'. I find this quite tricky

A public toilet (with a tiled floor) near me has a sign that says
    Ladies
    Slippery when wet.

In my defence, I was about 14 when I first giggled at it.

Naaah, they are safe. They are just reading a picture of the sign. If it just said - "Do not read this", then they'd have been in trouble

Like the Remote Controlled Rat but scaled up.

They're not slow when it comes to getting to the ice cream van judging by their shape.
Looks like the girl is carrying a bottle of vodka and the boy a top hat.
    Weird.
