9 speed to 10 speed upgrade

Hi All,
Had a RTI on my bike and my leavers are trashed, just wondering how easy it is to go from 9spd to 10spd is it just a matter of swapping the chain, cassette and rear mech or can I used 10spd shifters on a 9 speed whilst I get the parts together or is it the whole group set?

    Chain, cassette, and shifters. That's all you'll need.

    My impression is that the mech can stay as it is, but i may be incorrect.

    The only other thing you may need to check is the chainrings. 10spd chains are narrower so worth a check.

    9 speed or 8 speed chainset works fine with 10 speed. You will need to fit the chain, cassette and shifters at the same time though. 10 speed shifters won't index properly with a 9 speed cassette.
