Do I need a spacer

Fitting a new back wheel and there's a bit of play on the cassette and can slide it up and down but about 5mm. Is this OK or should I be looking to fit a spacer? If I do I'm not too sure on how best to decide on the size needed with no accurate way of measuring

What are you fitting to what?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yes you do as the body is wider or the 8/9/10 spd cassettes.
Google 7spd spacer. IIRC it should be 4.5mm"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
