Flex or front mech adjust?

Hi
Noticed on my Boardman road race at the weekend, that if I stand up and really put some power down, the chain rubs against the front mech
Is this down to frame flex, or a simple adjustment of the front mech :?:

I doubt its frame flex as both the chainset and the front mech are connected to it and quite close together. Assuming that nothing is loose (ie chainset or chainring bolts) then its most likely chainring flex - is it a compact with a smaller bolt diameter? ou might need to make a slight adjustment to the front mech.
Such things are to be expected - especially with lo-end bikes.0 -
Thanks for reply
Yes it is a compact. Will check adjustment and if no change, it's nothing I can't live withShare The Road Event http://www.sharetheroadride.co.uk

Make sure there's no play in the bottom bracket too0

I have the same problem on my commuter. The frame is very stiff so I know its not that, the problem in my case is the cheapy chainset that's been bolted to it. My next upgrade will be a better one, e.g. Ultegra and equivalent FSA offering as I have a nice Ultegra one on the Sunday bike and don't have the same problem.FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0
