Does anyone have this in a 56/58 in C London, I could sit on please.
I am trying to understand to get for a more relaxed riding position.
My height is 5 11 with an inside leg of 31.5.
I also have knee problems so not sure what do to
thanks

Sounds like the right size from my experience. Plenty of Genesis stockists in London (http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/stockists). Give them a ring and they'll be able to let you sit on one and give you some advice on riding position.FCN 3 / 40

I would say 58 is too big.
I am about the same dimensions as you and I had to shorten the stem on the 56 equibrium I ride.0 -
56, definitely.
I'm 5ft 10 (just under) and would normally ride a 54cm bike. But I ride a 56cm Day One and have ordered a 54cm Croix De Fer. Both are fine, 58 would be too much.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Facebook? No. Just say no.0 -
Hi - I am about the same dimensions as you and have a 56 Equilibrium. I think the 58 will be too big.0

There's one on Ebay if you're interested0

I just tried one and am now confused. From centre of the crank to top of the seat tube was 53 cm. Additionally the reach was too low (stem was flipped) and the reach too long. I then tried a pinnacle ina medium arms felt muchmore comfortable. So I measured both and its partially to do.with the reach.
But the medium pinnacle felt better. Now I just might be exposing my mtb roots, but on a 5 min spin its difficult to tell what is right0 -
If you're coming from an MTB background then you are likely to find most road bikes a bit low at the front and the reach will feel long until you get used to the position. Having said that you're probably best going with whichever you feel most comfortable with since a "comfortable" frame material/geometry will be no good to you if the bike doesn't fit.
The sizes of the Equilibrium are nominal - they're more an indication of their place in the size range than the actual measurements. I'm considering an Equilibrium myself and at 6' I'm thinking the "58cm" will suit me best but will be trying it out before buying.0
