sizing help

Help with sizing please.

I am approximately 5 11 with a 31.5 inside leg.

I have a background in mtb and prefer a more relazed riding position.

Am I better off getting a 56 or 58 and then fitting a shorter stem or something.

    The only real way to find out is to sit on a few on try them for size, geometries vary from brand to brand. Realistically there isn't a lot of difference (state the obvious: its 2cm which can be negated by the seat post, plus similar on the top tube) and really comes down to how you feel comfy on the bike. The larger size will end up with less drop from saddle to bars.

    I'm pretty similar height & IL to you and ride a 57cm (bianchi sizing).

    get down your LBS when its quiet and try out the contenders in both sizes.

    I have just ridden a boardman carbon in a LG and its dimensions are most closely resembled by a 58 genesis?

    Now I am totally confused and I really do not want to buy the wrong bike again!

    56, but it's the top tube measurement that's most important.
