Weekend in Wales...where to ride?!

Me and a group of lads from work are looking at heading to Wales in Apr/May for a weekend of beer and bikes. Originally planned to ride Afan, Cwmcarn, and FoD on the way back to Blighty, unless anyone can recommend any non-trail centre options that are better? Also, looking for accomodation around Cwmcarn, cheap and cheerful, any suggestions?

you looking for some night life whilst staying near cwmcarn?
if you want cheap and cheerful there's an etap hotel just off junction 26 of the motorway, about 15 mins drive to CC and 5 mins into newport town centre, but there's a few b&b's near CC if you're not bothered about good nightlife.0 -
Cannop in the forrest of dean is good too. Verderers trail is pretty ace
