Cant get any pressure into my Rock Shox Sids

i have tried to increase the pressure in my rock shox sids. they are the custom specialized ones with the brain. i have tried to pump air using my shock pump into both the chambers, and a small amount of pressure has gone into the top but none seems to go into the bottom. i have diognosed its not a faulty pump as i have managed to pump up my other fox forks.
Any help would be truly greatful

    Check that the valve core is screwed in nice and snug, I've had one work loose before.

    You should use a special tool (cheap from car spares shop), but I've used needle nose pliers before. Don't overtighten it though.
