Hello All,

After months of umm-ing, ahh-ing and saving I finally decided to fork out for a Cube Agree GTC. I'd tested the Pro model and it was superb. So i ran down to my lbs with my wallet only to be told that they didn't have any and furthermore would not be receiving any from Cube til around April! They're having a problem getting their carbon frames built apparently. He also said he'd heard a rumour it could be June although he doubted it could be that long. So really I just wanted to share my disappointment with you all. And if anyone else is looking for a new bike and is considering Cube then this could be worth bearing in mind.

Happy riding...

  • That's Cube for you - nice bikes at great prices but not so hot at fulfilling demand. I think they have simply created a dealer network that they do not have a hope in hell of supplying.

Just bought a 2011 GTC SL, Cube offer amazing value.

There are some 2012 GTC Pros out there, especially online. Saw one in my LBS today - really nice frame. If you've done a test ride and know your size ordering from elsewhere might be worth bearing in mind?

That 2011 SL is gorgeous; even nicer this years model i think. I bet it's great is it? May i ask how tall you are and what size you bought? There are a lot of posts on here regarding Cube frame sizes which have cast a fair bit of doubt in my mind. The guy in shop looked at me and said I'd need a 56, so that's what i tested. But from looking at Cube's sizing chart someone at my height 5'10/11" ish is on the cusp of 58cm frames. It's never clear-cut is it?! So although the 56 looked small to me but felt fine, I'd like to test the larger size too just to check I'm spending the money on the right one!

Also, on account of my job, my lbs offer a 10% discount. So it looks like I'm playing the waiting game with them. Fingers crossed it doesn't take as long as they speculate. Many thanks for your advive though.

I've got the agree di2 model on order. I'm glad I did as I understand that they are pretty much sold out on pre order.

My LBS had preordered a fair few and he assures me that I will get mine by the end of the month. However I am not holding my breath.

I was told though that the problem was getting hold of the di2 set (not the frame as said above) and they were waiting to get them all ready rather then sell in dribs and drabs

Yes, I think the 2011 design is great and rides fantastically. I’m 5’9”” and fit the 56cm frame perfectly (usually go for a 54cm but Cubes do size a bit differently). As you are a little taller I would definitely recommend testing both 56cm and 58cm sizes to be sure. I’m sure it will be worth all the waiting in the end!
