I need to buy a Helmet this weekend, can anyone suggest a suitable helmet for around £50?

If that budget isnt really good enough then please let me know how much I should expect to spend.

Helmets don't just come in different sizes but different shapes, only by trying them on will you decide which fits best.

As i was expertly advised ,, try a few different types because what fits someone else maynot be your cup of tea and the most expensive aint always best for the individual !

  • I still don't understand people who are SO concerned with saving themselves a buck they would run to a store to use them to try things on, with the sole intention of not buying it there. Support your LBS.

Google "Rip-off Britain" mate to understand. Few people have enough spare income to be charitable to local businesses.
  • Believe me I understand the whole saving cash thing, but Austria has the second highest prices for thing in Europe, aside from Switzerland, and even then, you don't see so many people fretting over a few quid saved.

Shops are becoming showrooms for online retailers. That's the way it goes.

I had replied to this earlier but strangely my post has vanished.
I do support a local bikeshop, Daycocks. I have used them for years however chain reaction is my closest and by far the dearest.
not sure how we compare but living costs in london are quite high, I dont have that much disposeable income at present so anything saved is a bonus.

I picked up a new flux at the bike show for £50. Thats like the best of both worlds - Cheap and supporting someone who spent the time & cash to have a store I could visit.
