Devinci Ollie vs Norco 4BY

Hey everyone
Just wanted a hand with buying a new bike (Today if possible!) as I am buying a new bike to get back into mtb and go out riding with my best mate.
Last year he bought a Devinci Ollie for really good money and its performance down i local trails really was awesome. As far as i'm aware, this is quite a highspec bike really.
Now i'm looking to get a new bike since i currently ride an '05 specialised P1 DJ bike, (obviosly there is really no competition regarding who's got the faster, more able bike on the trails!!). I am looking for something DH/freeride specialised with full suspension, that can keep up with his Devinci since its a lovely bike, down thru our trails.
After doing some searching i found a Norco 4BY within my budget and have read some good reviews for it. Is this on a performance par with the Devinci? Did it retail new for a similar price (GBP if possible)? What would you rather have and what are the weaknesses and stregnths of both bikes? Are they even made for the same thing?
Any help would be great - I just want to be able hold my own on the trails with my mate on a good reliable bike with a good spec so all advice would be great.
Cheers!

You don't say what your budget is?, the ollie is a 160mm bike so may be plenty more to look at.0

I completely forgot to mention that both bikes a running dual crown style forks my Marzocchi as their only major upgrades. Haven't really got a number in mind budget wise, rather get as much bike as possible for as little as possible for under a grand!0

For under a grand your looking for a lot of bike, most dual crown forks are 180-200mm travel thats taking you into full on DH bikes.

Ridden a couple Norco's. Feels like a cheaply built Specialized, got the feeling they wouldn't last too long.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
