Hi, I'm new to mountain biking, but have been a roadie for a few years. I picked up this beauty last week with a big discount from Paul's Cycles, having had a test ride on one before.
I took her to Castell Coch, by Cardiff, at the weekend with my brother and she seems to ride beautifully in my untrained opinion!
I know I have a lot of skills to learn and I need to build my confidence for the steeper trails. My local routes are going to be around the Surrey Hills and Swinley Forest, so if anyone can recommend some good routes to learn the essentials, I would be very grateful!

Don't worry about the weight,
Lovely bike the Trance I had one before my Reign.0 -
Thanks. I did a fair bit of research and asking around before settling on the Trance. As I'm new to mountain biking I don't yet know what type of riding I'll enjoy most. So I wanted a bike that would be quite versatile and let me try trail centre riding, singletrack etc., but also let me do some longer distance cross country stuff too.
Hopefully I've made the right choice!0 -
Nice, really like last years coloursNicolai CC0

Thanks for the nice comments!
I paid £1609 for the bike, reduced down from £2150. This was from Pauls Cycles.
I did see the bike for sale for £1400 at one point, but not in my size unfortunately. Still, I'm happy with the price I paid.0 -
I should add that the service from Paul's was excellent. The bike was delivered the day after I bought it.0
