xc bars and stem

im hopeing to ride xc races in the summer :D . but find i not fully happy with my head set :? . i have flat bars 660 on 120 stem but find this a bit twitchy on trails :? . would like to know what bars and stems ye xc guys find best :?:

    So what don't you like about the headset? All it does is allow the steering to work!

    Think he may mean set up.
    Shorter stem will be a bit less twitchy, but it will also shorten the cockpit, so depends on the sizing.

    sorry set up :oops: bike feels grate climbing but down hill feel too much weight on front :? would like to feel more in controll down hill.what do you recokn would help more shorter stem or wider bars or both :?: i know im lookin for best of both worlds. but just trying to get the balance right :)

    I would try a shorter stem, maybe 90mm, but don't know if you want really wide bars for xc.
    Try a cheap one off Ebay. If you like it you can always sell it on and by a blingier one.

    thanks for the feed back will give the 90 stem a go :D
