  • Lordy - that is one nice bike!
  • muchos likey very much!

    Can I ask:

    1. have you ridden it yet, whats it like
    2. What did you replace/add too
    3. How much?

Finally love the fact that it has its own bed

Loving the simplicity of the bike. Great wheels. Your mrs is more understanding than mine! Wouldn't have my bike on the bed!

    i think i'm in love <3

..although i would be torn between keeping it as is, or putting on a black chainset.

Rode the test bike 100 miles or so and thought it felt stiffer and more responsive, coming off a S-Works SL3 I just got more of the same and 10% on top in terms of performance, but I got 25% in looks. I had both a 56 & 58 SL3 and the 56 always felt the aggressor so I went 56 on this.

The total retail build would be £6300 as no expense was spared, the Groupset is Full Dura Ace inc Pedals and chain, the S-Works Carbon Cranks beat DA hands down but it costs, and the finishing kit (saddle, seatpost, stem & bars) came in at £800 alone!

I have the original S-Works SL Pave Seatpost which I did consider selling but will keep incase I ever sell it! I doubt I will as the SL4 is here to stay and wont be replaced for 2-3 years yet, just the colours will change

  • Whats the total weight?
  • With the DA CL50's its just under 15lb and with my DA CL24's its 14lbs dead with pedals
  • Im sure with the weightweenie wheels it could easily hit low 13lbs!

  • Mate its impossible to get the front end up but them DA stoppers make it slide like a MoFo with big black ones marking up the tarmac like a turd on dry porcelin

You can't wheelie it then? You can on my Apollo. I thought it'd be easier on a lighter bike :(

My g-friend woulda freaked had she seen me defile our bed like that :-)

TBH it ain't no R5 but bikes like that are in the riding, not so much in the lookin'

My for good bike' stays on the bed in the spare room - only as there is no space on the floor due to diy in the rest of the house. But it doesn't stop the amount of digs I get from the mrs about it.

The joys of having enough money to buy a bike like that, think I'd have to pop the mrs off and claim the life insurance to be able to do that... now there's a thought...

I beat the other contestant by the length of an Austin Montego.
