Just looking at building up a carbon black rig and a white fork on the front will look gayer than Cooldad, whats going on? I'm sure Fox used to give you the (limited) choice of black or white??

i beg to differ, i think my white 32's look quite good on my crabon bike, and afaik, other than OE forks, fox have never really given you the choice, not many years at least if ever, not much point in asking them either, i worked for a fox dealer and couldnt get some in black

They do have black Floats 32s ->

so why can't I buy them anywhere? Maybe blacks are OEM and whites are the retail model...but why not just give everyone a choice, I don't see why it would matter to them.

thats what i meant, i know they do black forks, just not for general purchase on their own, could always get someone like argos cycles to respray them for you if you are set on black, cheaper than buying a set of black talas forks and swapping the cartridge for a float one, although i have seen this done

Hmm might see if the bike shop I'm getting the frame from can get the oem black then.
