Went for a walk this lunchtime to have a look see at Bespoke Cycling at 143-145 Farringdon Rd, London, as they are, in theory, the nearest bike shop to my new office.

This isn't a bike shop, its a high class boutique for bikes and gear...

First you have to press the doorbell to be let in. Inside its minimalist and the walls are dripping with top end kit, Ritchie, Assos, SwissStop, etc, etc. Downstairs are the bikes: Specialised S-Works, Pinarello, Firefly, Trek and a few brands I didn't know. No Evans this with 100's of bikes; more like a select dozen, on custom bottom lit stands, or just frames or wheels hung on the wall like works of art, and like a high class boutique, no prices. As they say, if you have to ask....

This isn't a bike shop to go to for a bottle of lube or a set of brake pads (though of course they do sell such mundane stuff); its an emporium to go to drool over fine machinery.

An enjoyable 30min out of my lunchbreak :)
